Opening this spring, "LIVE DESIGN School," is a place where everyone gets together to think and learn about the future of our communities and the future of design. The opening ceremony will be held on April 30th at AXIS Gallery. This school is designed for participants to think and cultivate a broad perspective of design together with local communities. This "broad-ranging design" includes not only design skills such as graphics and products, but also multifaceted activities like the development of sales networks for products, the creation of stores, sites, and places for learning, tourism, craftsmanship training, and ecological restoration. Participants will deepen their thinking and learn from each other about attitudes towards and ways to get involved with the community. Top designers specializing in these kinds of design skills will join us. The one-year program will be held online and on-site (at Fukui, Nara, Niigata and other prefectures this year). So far, people from various backgrounds have applied for the program such as project managers, executives, high school teachers, municipal employees, local vitalization cooperators, architects, directors, writers, editors, designers, and students.
