[Kaoh Ishino Profile]
Educational Calligrapher; Principal of "My Calligraphy School"
Graduate of the Department of Calligraphy, Faculty of Letters, Daito Bunka University
Artist of the Nitten Exhibition
At age 22, she opened "Hana," a calligraphy school for adults, and within three years, the number of students exceeded 150. The school grew into a popular institution with a waiting list for new members. With an unconventional background as a "former gal" who dropped out of high school, her life story was featured for the first time in the fashion magazine *JJ*, published by Kobunsha, as a "regular person" profile. Furthermore, her innovative activities garnered attention in *Sumi*, a calligraphy magazine published by Geijutsu Shinbunsha, where she was featured in various special features.
As a mother of three balancing childcare and work, she keenly felt the need for "learning that yields results even within limited time." She redefined calligraphy, shifting it from "intuitive learning" to "verbalized learning," and established her unique "Hana-Hō Method," which teaches the art logically and theoretically.
