CH24 One of Hans J. Wegner's masterpieces is the Y chair, which has been loved as a classic example of northern Europe's modern style all over the world since the beginning of its production in 1950. It's the final version of the Chinese chair series, redesigned by Wegner and inspired by the chairs of the Ming dynasty in China. It has been in production for more than 60 years. The Y chair is made entirely of natural materials. It has a dignified presence and warmth that come from its wooden structure, and it is durable and nature-friendly thanks to the paper cord used in its seating.
