As part of its 70th anniversary celebrations, JIDA is holding a workshop on design through hand-drawn ideas and sketches, courtesy of special guest Kunihisa Ito. The United States has been announcing major environmental regulations for some years now, notable examples since the dawn of the 21st century being its global warming policy, CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy), and California's zero-emission rules. Following these, numerous presidential policies brought in by the Biden administration have seen the automotive industry in North America and all around the world enter an era of competition to come up with designs and innovations for the future. Mr. Ito will give guidance on hand-drawn ideas, including looking at the latest information on EV design in the United States and some examples of car design education taught in Detroit (mobility and robot delivery design).
In addition to Mr. Ito's mini lecture on the latest in EV vehicle design, participants will also get hands-on experience of what a useful and convenient way sketching by hand is to deepen and visualize ideas. It'll be an invaluable opportunity to get some guidance straight from a master. Highly recommended not only for designers, but also students, business managers, and anyone else who wants to add problem-solving visualization to their toolbox.
