The gallery is a collection of works based in wood, which is an indispensable material for furniture and interior design. Architect and designer Koichiro Oniki's ODS / Oniki Design Studio exhibits his new console table and low table "Forêt," a three-dimensionally assembled table based on the development of the Japanese Kumiko technique. Additionally, Takusei Kajitani will present his CONSENTABLE, exploring the theme of a "Deep dive into what I want" - a theme representing the creator's 10 years of designing to create what has yet to exist. "iwakagu," a custom-made furniture workshop in Shizuoka, Japan, will present wooden furniture with a renewed focus on wood and the relationship between home and woodworking. MARUHON will present a high quality space with solid wood flooring utilizing oak, custom-made to take advantage of the charms of wood, iron, and stone materials. SHINYA YAMAMOTO will exhibit according to the theme of "unsophisticated but charming," with an atmosphere created through simple yet endearing forms, materials, and textures incorporated into furniture that seems to exist between a product and sculpture. TGDA+639 (Gaku Takasu (TGDA) + Toshifumi Momose (Hikimono-sho 639)) will exhibit products that pursue a calculated geometrical beauty created through modifications and deconstructions such as deviations, tilts, rotations, and reversals in the production process following the concept of "deconstruction and reconstruction." The design unit "tossanaigh" will exhibit a sustainable dining table that utilizes leftover wood from forests. This collective exhibition is sure to convey a renewed sense of wood's appeal through evolving technology and design.
