Solo exhibition of ceramic artist Yoko Terai
In the new moon night
I heard a faint noise
Perhaps it was an owl
Maybe it caught prey
I can see its pink drool
My imagination, kindled by happenings under daylight, is noisy and lovely
The sound of a caterpillar dissolving itself inside a chrysalis and reincarnating
The sigh of bamboo grass in the snow
The sound of paper wasp pupae getting plump
The sound of flower nectar filling up
The vibrancy of living things
I want to recreate it with ceramic
Terai's ceramic works have a supple and relaxing appearance.
When colors and textures are added, they resemble living organisms born from Terai's unique five senses.
We hope you will enjoy the world of Terai.
