The Kamiyama Foundation Art Support Program is part of a project to develop human resources that are able to contribute to the improvement of culture and the promotion of art, and who pursue the inherent "healing" ability of art. This scholarship program provides support to the next generation of talented individuals in the field of art. Established in 2014, it has provided scholarships to about 20 graduate students annually who are studying painting at art universities throughout Japan. In addition to providing scholarships while the recipients are in school, it also supports them by providing opportunities for exchange among the recipients nationwide, and for presenting their works at the graduate exhibition after graduation.
This exhibition features works of our scholarship recipients, who completed graduate programs at art universities in March 2021. A total of 22 works will be exhibited at the venue, consisting of 18 paintings submitted for the 7th exhibition, and 4 award-winning works, including the grand prize-winner of the 6th exhibition.We hope this Graduate Exhibition will be a place where the recipients can fully demonstrate the achievements of their graduate school studies, as well as a source of inspiration for their future works.
